The BrownFish Experiment (BFE)

Here's some pics of my second shaped board. It's pretty much a copy of "My August Project," but I tried to give it a little more rocker and clean up a few areas. I've still got to put it under the lights, but I'm confident that I'm greater than 95% done.

Lookin' good.

Tell me about the bottom contours. It almost looks like there is some concave coming off the rear rails. Triple Concave?

The bottom contours. Well, up by the nose I left a very slight v roll into a flat mid-section. From the middle, their is a very slight single concave, going into a deep double through the fins. Where you see that slight woop de do on the rails by the tail, it's almost a slight reverse flip of the tail tips. I've seen that on a few boards. I think by making the tips thin, and adding that slight flip, you can kind of pre-load the tip. We'll see how that pans out. G

Thanks for asking the question, Ian. I was wondering the same.

Brownfish, thanks for the details on the bottom contours. I can't wait to see the progress.
