5'5 Simmons type thingy

Don't know what to call it. I guess everyone saying Simmons inspired, but, really, I've never gotten any advice directly from Simmons. Great guy from what I'm told. Thanks to Richard Kenvin for doing the research and making us all think outside the box, and Ian Zamora for sharing so much information.

Tips. Barely skin blannk. Get your outline set. Then start working from the bottom. Get your thickness and rocker, but leave the nose almost full thickness. Put the belly in the nose on the bottom as well as any bottom contours you are going to use. Basically the bottom should be pretty much done (minus turning up the rails. Then start working the top. Some use 24" for the step part of the S-deck, but I used 18". Basically scoop out the nose, always thinking about where you are with the bottom. I almost had a vertical drop off about 1/2" at 18", then just blended over about 4" toward the tail. Next, need to complete the S-deck by thinning out the tail. It's a very subtle thinning, but should end up with about a 1/2" tail. I started at about 24" from the tail and just made multiple passes with my planer, adjusting depth as I went.
Then, finish her up like any other board.

Just out of curiosity, in what type of medicine do you work in? Are you a doctor? Nurse? Specialty?
