5'5 Simmons type thingy

Don't know what to call it. I guess everyone saying Simmons inspired, but, really, I've never gotten any advice directly from Simmons. Great guy from what I'm told. Thanks to Richard Kenvin for doing the research and making us all think outside the box, and Ian Zamora for sharing so much information.

Dillons Step-Up Twinfin

Dillon has been waiting quite a while for me to finish this board. It is a step-up for him. 6'2 x 18 3/4" x 2 3/8" thick. Very slight single concave. Ice-9 Cane blank. I was lucky and didn't get any oxidation of the color. Glassed entirely with UV poly resin. Polish is no where near the level of JP and Jimmy, but hey, I think it came out pretty good. Thanks to Jimmy for setting the boxes for me, and Marlin for making another great set of fins. Most importantly Dillon, for letting me make this board for him. Sorry about the poor lighting, it's nighttime and I gots to go back to work the next few days, so outside photos weren't an option. Plus, rocker shot not an option, as my room be too small, at least for now.

Hand Sanding

Sometimes you just got to do it. Trying to get this board done for Dylan before our first real swell of the winter arrives. Was gonna work on it during the day today, but my daughter became sick, so I spent the day watching movies with her. Mom and kids now in bed, so it's time to get some work done. No power tools allowed, so the Milwalkee just sat on the shelf and grinned as I broke my first sweat of the day. Was able to sand the rails and the laps on both sides, plus any high spots on the deck and bottom. Will take the Milwalkee and finish it off tomarrow while my daughter takes her midday nap. Hopefully will be able to gloss one side also. I told Dylan I'd try to get it done by Saturday night, and I'm gonna try.

John Campbell is a talker. And not in the "Oh God, get me away from this guy," kind of way. He's more the "Damn, I need this guy as my wingman" type of talker. He's the guy you want captaining your ship. A frontman by nature...

KOOKS

Many have seen this, but, still, couldn't help myself. Saw it on the ERBB. If your gonna start, be commited to the whole 8 minutes. Too much.
